Culbreth Second, Georgia Eighth at Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – The Georgia men's golf team carded a 22-over 862 and landed tied for eighth place at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational at the Colonial Country Club.

In the final round, the Bulldogs' team scores were a 3-under 67 from JD Culbreth, a 1-under 69 from Mason Howell, and 5-over 75s from Sungyeop Cho and James Earle.

Culbreth led the Bulldogs sitting at second on the individual leaderboard. He carded 6-under 204, just one stroke away from first place.

Culbreth's third round included four birdies, going bogey free on the front nine.

The Bulldogs played Hole 1 well, with Culbreth, Howell, Earle, and Drew Woolworth all posting birdies on the par-5.

Alabama, Auburn, Texas Tech, North Carolina, and Texas made up the top five. Alabama won the tournament at even par.
