OMAHA, Neb. –Oklahoma beat Georgia 11-4 in the semifinals of the College World Series Wednesday as the Bulldogs season ended at Charles Schwab Field in front of a crowd of 24,446.

Oklahoma grabbed a 4-0 lead with a solo home run in the third by Jason Walk, a solo shot from Trey Gambill and two-run blast from Dasan Harris in the fourth. The Sooners hit five home runs on the night.
In the fifth, senior Kolby Branch smacked a one-out double and scored on a base hit by Ryan Black to cut the deficit to 4-1.
Down 5-1 in the sixth, Georgia made it 5-3 courtesy of a couple of bases-loaded walks to Branch and Black by LJ Mercurius. OU got a run back in the bottom of the frame for a 6-3 advantage. In the eighth Harris added another two-run home run while Walk notched his second solo shot for a 9-3 lead.
Redshirt sophomore right-hander Paul Farley pitched the first 3.1innings and allowed four runs on six hits with no walks and six strikeouts before giving way to senior Matt Scott for four innings and then Justin Byrd, Zach Brown, Grant Edwards and Joe Nottingham combined to take care of the final 1.2 innings.
Branch smashed a home run in his final at bat to finish with 20 for the season and 56 for his career.

"You look at all the kids in the stands and wanted to let them know and make them see that baseball is fun and you focus when you're playing and when you do that you play good baseball. That was our message and what we tried to do each time we took the field here in Omaha. That's what we tried to do all season. We had a lot of fun and accomplished a lot and hopefully made a lot of people excited about Georgia Baseball this year and for the future."
