On the scrimmage…
"Overall, I thought we threw the ball really well today. We threw everybody in both of our scrimmages this fall. We scrimmaged earlier this week so you didn't see some of our guys today like (Marcos) Paz, (Jason) Flores, (Riley) Goodman, Paul Farley, Joe Nottingham, I could go on, but back to today, I was really excited about the guys we threw today and the strikeouts to walks. I though Walters State pitching was better than some of the midweeks we'll see. I was really impressed with them. They had velo (velocity); they had some stuff. They threw strikes. We played 18 innings in under six hours."

On the Georgia offense…
"I thought Nolan Stevens had a big day today. (Naulivou Lauaki Jr.) Junior does what Junior does; Mikey (Bell) got some hits and Cole Johnson hit a big home run and Hunter Carns got got one too. We're making some changes to some of our hitters, their approach and getting them to hit it in the air and not ground balls. The wind was howling in today. We could've hit a few more home runs, and they could've too. We're starting to get healthy, and when we are, we could have as much power as last year."
