Georgia Faces Mississippi State in Starkville Super Regional

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 12 University of Georgia men's tennis team will continue play in the NCAA Tournament with its Super Regional match at No. 5-seed Mississippi State on Saturday, May 9 at 12 p.m. CT at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre.

Postseason Play Continues
The Bulldogs continue their postseason after winning matches in the first and second round of the NCAA Tournament. Georgia beat Elon, 4-0, in the second meeting in program history against the Pheonix on May 1, before beating NC State, 4-0 on May 2.
The winner of the Super Regional will advance to the NCAA Championship, hosted by the University of Georgia at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Tournament History
The Bulldogs, who hold a tournament record of 118-42, are making their 42nd-straight and 47th overall NCAA appearance. Georgia has won six NCAA National Championships (1985, 1987, 1999, 2001, 2007 and 2008), while a Bulldog has won the NCAA Singles Championship five times (Mikael Pernfors in 1984 and 1985; Matias Boeker in 2001 and 2002; Ethan Quinn in 2023). The Bulldogs have claimed the doubles title on three occasions - Ola Malmqvist and Allen Miller in 1983, Boeker and Travis Parrott in 2001 and John Isner and Antonio Ruiz in 2005.
