The No. 4 Georgia men and No. 11 Georgia men are fresh off an impressive showing last weekend at Miami's Hurricane Collegiate Invite. Just last weekend the Bulldog women tallied 14 NCAA top-25 times and marks while the men collected seven.
Three of those top performances earn the Bulldogs SEC weekly honors. Freshman Chelsi Williams was named SEC WOmen's Co-Field Athlete of the Week for setting an SEC lead and the third best performance in the NCAA in the women's long jump at 6.43m/21-1.25 (0.5).
On the men's side, graduate transfer Jordan Davis was named SEC men's Field Athlete of the Week after setting an NCAA lead in the javelin at 80.38m/263-8 while junior Mohamed Adoini collected SEC Men's Co-Runner of the Week due to his 49.58 finish in the 400m hurdles.
This weekend of competition for Georgia starts at the Stanford Invitational where a distance delegation of eight Bulldogs will compete across five events in hopes of nabbing some top times on Friday.
Freshman Madeleine Holland kicks off the action in Palo Alto, Calif. In the women's 1500 meter section #6 race slated to begin at 2:51 pm ET.
Seven Bulldogs will make their outdoor debuts at the Stanford Invite including: freshman Kristers Kudlis (3000m steeplechase), Anastaia Nilsson (5K), graduate transfer Oliver Smart (5K), graduate transfer Will Aitken (10K junior Ryan Olree (10K), graduate transfer Matias Reynaga (10K) and junior Conner Rutherford (10K).
