Adaejah Hodge Shatters School Record and Sets World Lead in Historic Fashion

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Georgia Track and Field's Adaejah Hodge delivered a historic in the women's 100m dash, blazing a 10.77(1.7 m/s) to shatter the both school record and the British Virgin Islands National record, set a 2026 world-leading time and move to No. 2 on the all-time collegiate list. Her mark is also tied for No. 18 in world history, highlighting a dominant day for the Bulldog women.

- Freshman Ava Kitchings opened the day with a victory, clocking a 11.42 finish in the collegiate section of the women's 100m dash.
- The trend continued with junior Sydney Harris in the collegiate section of the women's 400m.Harris finished with a career-best 52.35 to secure the event win.
- The Bulldog women also collected a trio of top 10 list performances in the invitational section of the women's 100m hurdles. Freshman Taylor Cox moved up to No. 2 in program history with a finish of 12.95 (0.7 m/s). Fellow freshmen Maddi Cooper moved to No. 7 after a 13.15 (-0.8 m/s) and Zoe Ziglor moved to No. 8 in school history after clocking a 13.22 (0.7 m/s).
- The dominance continued in the women's 400m invite, where senior Dejanea Oakley secured the event win in her outdoor season debut in the event. Oakley clocked a 50.55 finish, which ranks No. 3 in the current NCAA standings. Senior Shaquena Foote followed in second with a career best of 50.62, moving her to No. 4 in UGA history.
- To finish off the day, the quartet of Foote, sophomore Michelle Smith, freshman Tianna Springer and Oakley put up an impressive 3:24.54 finish in the women's 4x400 meter relay. That finish ranks No. in UGA history and marks the third 4x400 meter relay this season to make it into the school record book this season.
