No. 6- Seed Georgia Set to Face No. 11- Seed Kentucky in Second Round of SEC Tournament

COLLEGE STATION, Texas. --- The University of Georgia men's tennis team is set to take on Kentucky, No. 26 nationally and the No. 11-seed in the SEC Tournament, on Thursday, April 16 at 2 p.m. CT at George P. Mitchell '40 Tennis Center at Texas A&M. Georgia enters the match 17-7 (9-5 SEC), and the Wildcats are now 17-12 (5-9 SEC).

The First Serve: The Bulldogs are set to face the 11th- seed in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday, April 16.
Georgia is 51-14 all-time against Kentucky after falling on the road to the Wildcats earlier this month, 4-3. In the match, the Bulldogs dropped the doubles point before winning three straight singles matches to go up 3-1. The Wildcats then evened the score with two singles wins. With the match tied 3-3 overall, Derrick Chen fell in a third set tiebreaker to Jack Loutit, 6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-7 (6), which handed Kentucky the win.
Kentucky enters the match after beating No. 14-seed Arkansas, 4-2, in the first round of the tournament. On the year, the Wildcats are 17-12 and finished conference play with a 5-9 record. Kentucky picked up wins during the regular season over Tennessee, Oklahoma, Auburn, Vanderbilt, and Georgia.
On the bottom half of the bracket, the winner of Georgia and Kentucky's match will face No. 3-seed LSU. The Bulldogs shutout LSU at home to open SEC play earlier this season.
