Georgia Travels To KSU Tuesday, Back Home Wednesday For WCU

ATHENS, GA.-----Eighth-ranked Georgia makes its first road trip Tuesday when it faces Kennesaw State. First pitch will be at 6 p.m. and be available on ESPN+ and the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network.
The Bulldogs (10-2) lead the all-time series 26-11 over the Owls (5-5). Georgia has won nine in a row in the series dating to 2021. Georgia went 4-1 last week, dropping a midweek contest to Troy in 12 innings and then swept a four-game series from Oakland. KSU avoided a sweep this past Sunday at the hands of No. 20 West Virginia, rallying back from a 6-0 sixth-inning deficit to win 7-6.
On Wednesday, Georgia is back in action at Foley Field against Western Carolina (8-3) at 3 p.m. (SECN+). The Catamounts went 2-1 in Greenville, N.C., this past weekend, beating Troy and host East Carolina and falling to Rutgers. Georgia holds a 38-19 edge over WCU. The teams last met in 2016, a 6-0 Bulldog win in Athens.

            *Bulldog redshirt sophomore Paul Farley, a Kennesaw native and product of Mount Paran Christian, will make his first career start Tuesday after 15 relief appearances. This year, he has pitched thrice out of the bullpen for a total of six innings, allowing five runs on nine hits with one walk and 11 strikeouts. Last year, he was 1-0 with a 4.30 ERA in 12 appearances.          Â
            *The Bulldogs sport a 3.00 ERA with 138 strikeouts and 37 walks in 99 innings this season. Opponents are batting .211 against Georgia. Georgia ranks second nationally with four shutouts and third nationally in strikeout-to-Walk Ratio (4.54).  The Bulldogs are fielding .990.

            *Sophomore INF/OF Henry Allen (.484-4-16) leads the team in batting and OB% (.605).
            *Junior C/OF Daniel Jackson (.375-9-20) leads the team and ranks ninth nationally in home runs.
            *Senior UTIL Brennan Hudson (.364-6-13) hit three home runs with 7 RBI in the Oakland series.
            *Overall, the Bulldogs batted .413 with 13 home runs in outscoring Oakland 48-9 for a four-game series sweep.
            *Georgia ranks second nationally in Home Runs (25) and third in Slugging Percentage (.722).Â
