October 09, 2026 | Equestrian
ATHENS – No. 4 University of Georgia equestrian team will host No. 2 Texas A&M in the season opener Saturday at 9 a.m. at the UGA Equestrian Complex.
The Bulldogs return four strong athletes with All-America honors. Cadence Eger, First Team All-American for Reining, returns to the Bulldogs' lineup for her senior season. Seniors Tessa Downey and Abbey Zawisza also return after both being named All-American Honorable Mentions last season. Following her Flat All-America Honorable Mention nod, Ella Duffy also returns to the Jumping Seat arena for her fifth year.
Georgia leads the all-time series against the Aggies, 28-18, including a 15-2 home record. The two teams met previously this year in the 2026 NCEA National Championship semifinals, when the Aggies defeated the Bulldogs 12-6.
The Bulldogs hosted their annual Red and Black Scrimmage on September 19 ahead of opening the season, while Texas A&M started the season 2-0 with wins against Delaware State and Minnesota Crookston.
Saturday's meet will be available to stream on SECN+, and live scoring can be accessed here.
