Muoneke Collects Third Weekly SEC Award
October 19, 2026 | Volleyball
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Georgia senior outside hitter Bianna Muoneke has been named the Southeastern Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, her third conference weekly award this season, the league announced Monday.
"Bianna once again produced at a nationally-elite level and did it with a competitive passion and drive that made us all proud," Head Coach Tom Black said. "Best of all is watching her game, maturity and leadership continue to grow. She's a special player and person."
Muoneke tallied 49 total kills in eight sets, averaging 6.13 per set en route to a pair of road wins for Georgia this weekend. She hit .440 on the outside, taking 100 swings, and committing just five errors.
The Cypress, Texas native recorded a new career-high, hitting .581 in a sweep at Ole Miss on Friday, tallying 19 kills in three sets, tied for sixth-highest in a three-set match. Her .581 hitting clip was the 10th highest all-time, taking 20 or more attempts.
On Sunday, Muoneke tipped the 30-kill mark for the first time in her career, finishing with 30 kills in the win at LSU. She hit .377 and picked up her fifth double-double of the season with 11 digs. It was her eighth 20-kill match of the season, and fifth in the last seven matches. Her 30 kills were the third most all-time in a five-set match at Georgia, and she's the first Bulldog to hit 30 kills since 2024.
Muoneke tabulated the 1,000th kill of her Georgia career in the fifth set of Sunday's match, becoming the 21stmember of Georgia's 1,000-Kill Club.
A total of four Bulldogs have earned six SEC weekly awards in 2026: Bianna Muoneke (three-time offensive), Gigi Artiles (two-time freshman), Chloe Elarton (setter), and Tori Harper (defensive). This ties the program record for individuals to win a player of the week award and is the first time Georgia has had an offensive, a defensive, a setter, and a freshman of the week in a single season. Georgia's seven awards are the most since 2019 (7).
The Bulldogs return to Stegeman Coliseum next week to host No. 19 Texas A&M in Athens on Friday, Oct. 23. First serve is set for 7 p.m. live on SEC Network. The match will be Game Show Night. The first 500 fans will receive a game show-themed t-shirt.
