A Look at What's Ahead
After wrapping up a four-match homestand, the Bulldogs hit the road for four straight matches beginning next weekend at Mississippi State and Alabama. Georgia takes on the Bulldogs from Starkville on Friday, Oct. 9, then travels to Tuscaloosa for a matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Let's Recap
Georgia defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks in five sets on Wednesday, Sept. 23, in the SEC opener at Stegeman Coliseum. The win was Georgia's sixth straight win, and the Bulldogs remained undefeated at home at 6-0. Bianna Muoeneke tied a season-high 27 kills with a .328 hitting clip on the outside. She added eight digs with three blocks and a pair of service aces. She finished the match with a season-best 30.5 points. Chloe Elarton tallied her second-straight double-double with 46 assists and a career-best 17 digs, leading the team in digs. With Georgia down one set going to the fourth, the offense began to fire as the team hit .467 in the fourth and .579 in the fifth to come back and win the match in five sets.

Another SEC Weekly Honor for Muoneke
Bianna Muoneke was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 28. It was Muoneke's second weekly conference award this season. It's the third time in her career that she's earned this award. Muoneke matched her season best with 27 kills in Georgia's SEC opener against South Carolina on Wednesday, Sept. 23. She led the match with a season-best 30.5 points. She tallied six kills each in the second, third, fourth, and fifth sets. She hit .417 in the fourth as the Bulldogs forced a decisive fifth set, then hit .667 in the fifth (6 kills on 9 attempts, no errors) to lead Georgia to the five-set victory. Muoneke's 27 kills tie her own mark for a season high for a Bulldog in 2026 and tied for seventh in kills in a five-set match in Georgia rally scoring history.

On a Roll
Georgia has won six straight matches entering this week's matchups. Georgia won six SEC matches in a row a season ago and rattled off a pair of six-match win streaks in 2019. Georgia's longest win streak under Tom Black was seven in 2018. The last time the Bulldogs pushed a win streak to eight was 2016.

Defend The Steg
Georgia has gone undefeated at home so far in 2026, starting 6-0 at Stegeman Coliseum. This is Georgia's best start at home since 2019 when the Bulldogs opened 7-0 at The Steg. Before that, Georgia opened the home schedule with 10-straight wins in 2013.
