A Look at What's Ahead
Georgia is back at Stegeman Coliseum next week, hosting a pair of meets. First, the GymDogs welcome Central Michigan, Temple, and Fisk in a Quad Meet on Friday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. It'll be Alumni Night, and the first 500 UGA students and the first 250 kids, 12 and under, will get a free red shirt. Georgia then hosts No. 11 Auburn at Stegeman on Sunday, Feb. 1. The meet will air on SEC Network at 6 p.m. The first 250 UGA students will get a GymDogs sweatshirt for Hairy Dawg's birthday.

GymDogs in the Rankings
The GymDogs improved their national ranking in week three, moving into fifth in the country with a 197.100 team average. It's Georgia's first top-five ranking since debuting at No. 5 in week one in 2019. Georgia holds the top spot in the nation on floor (49.475) and is top 10 on beam (6th, 49.350) and bars (8th, 49.238). Individually, three Bulldogs appear in the top 10 nationally on floor (Lily Smith, Nyla Aquino, and CaMarah Williams) while Smith is eighth on bars and Holly Snyder is eighth on beam.

Recapping the Last Meet
Georgia defeated No. 2 LSU 197.200-196.850 in its home opener in front of a sold-out crowd on Jan. 16 at Stegeman Coliseum. It marked the first win over LSU since Feb. 13, 2016, and the first top-five win at home since March 11, 2017 (Utah). Lily Smith captured event titles on bars (9.950) and floor (9.950). Georgia totaled eight scores of 9.900 or better en route to the upset. The GymDogs matched or improved 13 scores from the previous week's meet at Ohio State.

The Sky's the Limit on the Floor
The GymDogs enter this week's meet holding the nation's top spot on the floor exercise with a 49.475 event average. In 12 routines this season, Georgia has six scores of 9.900 or better, all from the final three in the lineup: CaMarah Williams, Nyla Aquino, and Lily Smith. Smith ranks first nationally with an average of 9.950 while Aquino ranks sixth (9.925) and Williams ninth (9.912). Georgia has not recorded a score below 9.825 on floor this season. Georgia and Missouri are the only two programs nationally with three gymnasts ranked in the top 20 on floor and one of just four with three gymnasts ranked in the top 20 on a single event.

Snyder Off to Impressive Start
Junior Holly Snyder is the only GymDog to score a 9.850 or better in each of her routines this season. She's recorded a 9.925 in back-to-back weeks on beam, the only beam routines of her career. She ranks eighth nationally in the event with a 9.925 average. Snyder joined the bars lineup against LSU and scored a 9.875 to finish fifth in the event.

Defending Our Home Floor
Georgia holds a 5-1 record at Stegeman Coliseum in the Canqueteau-Landi/Roberts era. The GymDogs went 4-1 at home in 2025 and opened the home schedule in 2026 with an upset of No. 2 LSU. In six home meets, Georgia has averaged a team score of 197.217 in front of an average of 9,364 fans.

Out of the Gate Strong
Georgia's 197.000 on Jan. 10 was only the second time in program history and first since 2007 (vs. Stanford, 197.375) that the GymDogs recorded a 197.000 or better in a season opener. Georgia didn't top the 197.000 mark until the fifth meet of the season last year on Feb. 7.

Freshmen Shine Bright in Opener
All five members of Georgia's freshmen class competed in the season opener at No. 21 Ohio State on Jan. 10. Kelise Woolford highlighted the meet for the class, co-winning event titles on bars (9.875) and beam (9.925). CaMarah Williams posted a 9.900 on floor, and Autumn Reingold recorded a 9.850 on bars. Brook Pierson (9.750) and Avery Moll (9.150) each competed on vault in the season opener.

Gleichowski Nominated for Winter Allstate NACDA Good Works Team
Sophomore Brooke Gleichowski was named a nominee for the Winter Allstate NACDA Good Works Team. Gleichowski is of 180 student-athletes nominated for the award and one of four from the University of Georgia. The SEC has 22 representatives on the list, three from the sport of gymnastics. The award recognizes male and female student-athletes across all divisions and sports who go above and beyond in their commitment to community service, academic achievement, and athletic performance. Gleichowski was Georgia's representative on the 2025 SEC Gymnastics Community Service Team.

GymDogs Excelling in the Classroom
Georgia Gymnastics achieved a team GPA of 3.613 for the Spring 2025 semester. The mark became the second-highest team GPA in program history. A total of eight GymDogs appeared on the 2024-25 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll, and 12 earned WCGA Scholastic All-America honors while seven more earned a spot on the 2024-25 SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll last season. The GymDogs followed it up with a 3.67 team GPA in Fall 2025, topping the new program record mark. Brooke Pierson, Holly Snyder, and Eryn Williams achieved a perfect 4.0 in the Fall.
