A Look at What's Ahead
Georgia will begin Southeastern Conference play next week with a pair of matches on the road, first at No. 24 Tennessee on Wednesday, Sept. 24. It's then on to Lexington for a match up at No. 6 Kentucky on Friday, Sept. 26. Five of Georgia's first six SEC matches are on the road and the first three are against ranked opponents.

Lim Has Breakout Performance
Redshirt-sophomore libero Makena Lim had a breakout performance against Presbyterian on Sept. 12. She put up a career-high 24 digs, the first 20-dig match of her career. It was two digs shy of tying the three-set digs record of 26 and is now tied for second-most all-time in a three-set match at Georgia. Along with her 24 digs, Lim posted the first double-double of her career, dishing out 12 assists. She is the first libero in the Tom Black era to record a double-double.

Harper Named SEC Defensive Player of the Week
Redshirt-junior Tori Harper was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 8. after averaging 2.10 blocks per set in the Classic City Clash. She tied a career-high eight blocks in back-to-back matches against Texas Tech and Duke. Additionally, she served up a career-best three aces against Texas Tech. Harper's eight blocks against Texas Tech tied for 10th all-time in a fourth-set match, and her eight against Duke tied for sixth in a three-set match.

AN Undefeated Start for the Bulldogs
Georgia's 5-0 start matched 2022's 5-0 start (all sweeps), the last time Georgia had an undefeated beginning to the season through five matches. Should Georgia reach the 6-0 mark, it'll match 2018's start, Tom Black's second season in Athens.

Muoneke Tabbed First SEC Offensive Player of the Week of 2025
Bianna Muoneke was named the first SEC Offensive Player of the Week of the 2025 season, the league announced on Sept. 1. Muoneke guided the Bulldogs to a pair of three-set sweeps on opening weekend, first sweeping the Samford Bulldogs, then the Troy Trojans at the Samford Invitational in Birmingham. She averaged 5.00 kills per set (30 kills total) and hit .455 on the outside, committing just three errors on 55 attempts. She recorded 5.17 points per set for the offense on opening weekend.

Harper Named Nominee for Allstate NACDA Good Works Team
Redshirt-junior Tori Harper has been named one of 128 nominees, including three SEC volleyball nominees, for the inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall), recognizing male and female student-athletes across all divisions and sports who go above and beyond in their commitment to community service, academic achievement and athletic performance. Harper, from Reno, Nevada, was Georgia's representative on the 2024 SEC Volleyball Community Service Team.

Muoneke Looking to Build on Strong 2024 Campaign
Of Georgia's returning players in 2025, junior outside Bianna Muonke is the Bulldogs' top kills (2.94) and digs (2.02) leader from a season ago. At the service line, she is the second-highest returner with 0.28 aces per set. Muoneke recorded 10 double-doubles last season, her first in Athens.

Black Poised for Year Nine in Athens
Head coach Tom Black will take up the helm of the Bulldogs for his ninth season in Athens. Black has guided the Bulldogs to 131 wins, 73 in SEC play, and three NCAA Tournament appearances (2019, 2022, 2023). He is the third-longest tenured head coach in Georgia volleyball history behind Sid Feldman (1978-88) and Jim Iams (1989-99), who each served 11 seasons, and the fourth-longest tenured head coach in the SEC behind Jerritt Elliott, Craig Skinner, and Jason Watson. Assistant coach Aaron Benning and director of operations David Dantes have been on Black's staff each season.
