Brown, Harper Named Nominees for Allstate NACDA Fall Good Works Team
August 06, 2025 | General, Soccer, Volleyball
ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia student-athletes Jordan Brown (soccer) and Tori Harper (volleyball) have been named nominees for the inaugural Allstate NACDA Fall Good Works Team.
Â
Brown and Harper are two of 128 student-athletes nominated for the award. The Southeastern Conference has seven representatives on the list (three volleyball, two soccer, one women's cross country, one men's cross country). The award recognizes male and female student-athletes across all divisions and sports who go above and beyond in their commitment to community service, academic achievement, and athletic performance.Â
Â
Brown, from Las Vegas, Nevada, is a senior goalkeeper on the soccer team. During her time in Athens, Brown has volunteered extensively at Hillsman Middle School, serving as an academic tutor and volunteering as a track coach. She has also been involved with the UGA student-athlete committee as a member of the Georgia Way's L.E.A.D. Leadership Academy, helping develop resources and programming for fellow student-athletes. She is a two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree and was named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll as a freshman. On the field, Brown was a Second Team All-SEC and Fourth Team All-Region performer last season, playing every minute of the season on her way to 120 saves, the second-most in program history. Her career-high 14 saves at No. 1 Florida State helped the Bulldogs earn their first-ever tie against a top-ranked team.
Â
Harper, from Reno, Nevada, is a redshirt-junior middle blocker on the volleyball team. Harper was Georgia's representative on the 2024 SEC Volleyball Community Service Team. In her career, she has partnered with UGA's counseling services and athletic department to promote mental health resources for student-athletes. She is an advocate and a strong voice for the mental health and well-being of student-athletes. She has volunteered at food banks and soup kitchens, helping to sort donations, pack food boxes, and serve meals to those in need. She also has volunteered at youth sports camps, leading team-building exercises to teach kids about trust, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. She's been a two-time member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll and the 2022-23 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
Â
The 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall) nominees represent seven collegiate sports, including soccer, volleyball, cross country, field hockey, and water polo. A selection committee of athletics directors, former athletes, and industry leaders will choose the final 20-member team — 10 female and 10 male student-athletes — set to be announced August 26.
Â
Expanding recognition across all sports
Announced in December, the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team now recognizes 60 student-athletes annually across fall, winter, and spring seasons, surpassing more than 500 nominees during its first year.
