Georgia Announces 2026 Season Schedule

ATHENS, Ga. – Highlighted by the "Soccer in Sanford" match and a visit from defending national champion Florida State, the University of Soccer team announced its 2026 season schedule Monday afternoon.
Led by fifth-year head coach Keidane McAlpine, the Bulldogs will face opponents from all four Power conferences, the defending SEC regular season (Arkansas) and tournament (Vanderbilt) champions, and two College Cup participants (FSU and TCU). In total, the Bulldogs will face nine NCAA Tournament participants during the regular season.
The slate begins with home exhibition matches against Auburn (Aug. 6) and Carolina Ascent FC of the USL Super League (Aug. 9). The regular season begins with a two-match Big Ten road trip against Illinois (Aug. 13) and Minnesota (Aug. 16).
The home regular season schedule begins with the "Soccer in Sanford" match against James Madison on Aug. 20 at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium. With the match, Georgia is looking to break the NCAA soccer attendance records of 14,410 (women's – set in 1999) and 22,512 (men's – set in 1980), while honoring the 30th anniversary of the United States Women's National Team's victory in the 1996 Summer Olympics gold medal match at Sanford. Admission will be free for all spectators with ticket claims beginning on Thursday, July 30.
The Bulldogs will then host Milwaukee on Aug. 23 in their first regular season contest at the Turner Soccer Complex, followed by a matchup against NCAA College Cup semifinalist TCU (Aug. 27) and an in-state battle at Mercer (Aug. 30). The non-conference schedule concludes against defending NCAA champion Florida State on Sept. 3 at Turner. The FSU match marks the fifth-consecutive season in which Georgia has played the reigning national champion.
Georgia opens SEC play with consecutive Friday night fixtures against Vanderbilt (Sept. 11) and Oklahoma (Sept. 18) before a weekend road trip to Arkansas (Sept. 24) and LSU (Sept. 27). The Bulldogs against host consecutive Friday night matches against Texas A&M (Oct. 2) and Ole Miss (Oct. 9), followed by a road date at Alabama (Oct. 15) and the regular season home finale against Missouri (Oct. 18). The regular season concludes with back-to-back road dates at South Carolina (Oct. 23) and Florida (Nov. 1).
At the conclusion of the conference slate, the top 12 teams in the league standings will play in the SEC Soccer Tournament in Pensacola, Florida, running from Nov. 8 through Nov. 15.
All scheduled times and dates for the 2026 season are subject to change. TV designations will be announced later in the year. Admission to all home matches is free for all spectators.
