Goodnight Named Second Team All-SEC

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia senior softball student-athlete Dallis Goodnight has been voted Second Team All-SEC by the league's head coaches.
This is Goodnight's second-straight Second Team All-SEC honor, earning that status a season ago.
"I'm really proud of Dallis' growth this year," said head coach Tony Baldwin. "She has always been talented and a tremendous competitor. This year, she really grew into a good leader for our team. Additionally, she really became a lot more resilient in dealing with the outcomes of the game. Put that all together, and she really had an outstanding year, and I'm happy for her to be recognized for that."
The Dacula native led Georgia in SEC play this season with a .344 batting average. Her 19 hits and 12 stolen bases also led the Bulldogs, while her stolen base count led the league in SEC play. She scattered 22 hits, including a pair of doubles and a triple. In the field, Goodnight committed just one error on the season while making highlight reel plays.
On the season, Goodnight hit .358, scored 43 runs, scattered 54 hits, and stole 28 bases.
Since coming to Georgia in 2023, Goodnight's 63 stolen bases rank ninth all-time at UGA.
Georgia will await the NCAA Tournament Selection Show. The show will air on Sunday, May 11 at 7 p.m. ET live on ESPN2. Georgia is expected to make its 23rd-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
