
Yonas Competes In Women’s 10,000m At Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. --- Freshman distance runner Izzy Yonas represented the Georgia track & field team at the Raleigh Relays on Friday, opening her collegiate outdoor career with a 30th-place finish in the 10,000-meter run.

- Yonas clocked a 34:16.17 in the 10,000m, crossing the finish line in 30th place.
- Running in the first outdoor race of her collegiate career, Yonas finished just .09 seconds short of cracking the Georgia all-time top-10 list in the event.
- Yonas was the lone Bulldog to compete in Raleigh on Friday. Ryan Olree (10,000m), Conner Rutherford (10,000m), and Joseph Minecci (1,500m) all represented the Bulldogs in the distance events on Thursday.
