Bulldogs Win Three Events, Better Three Top-10 Marks at Black and Gold Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Ervin Pearson (400-meter dash), Reign Redmond (100m), and the men's 4x100-meter relay team of Micah Larry, Brody Buffington, Jehlani Gordon, and Shemar Chambers all earned victories in their respective events to highlight the final day of the Black and Gold Invitational for the Georgia track & field program on Saturday.

Fast Facts

In his first collegiate outdoor race, Pearson clocked a 45.42 to lead a Georgia 1-2 finish in the 400m. Pearson's time ranks sixth in program history, placing him on Georgia's all-time top-10 list after the first 400m race of his outdoor career.
Fellow freshman Xai Ricks followed Pearson across the finish line with a time of 45.99 for a runner-up finish in the 400m.
Reign Redmond also picked up a victory in her first collegiate outdoor meet, posting a time of 11.35 to win the 100-meter dash. The time makes her the No. 9 performer in program history in the event.
Sanaa Frederick and Karsen Phillips also posted strong performances in the 100m, crossing the finish line in 11.49 and 11.51 to place second and tied for third, respectively.
Larry, Buffington, Gordon, and Chambers posted a time of 39.33 in the 4x100m to win the event with the ninth-fastest time in Georgia track & field history.
Buffington earned a runner-up finish in the 100m, crossing the finish line in 10.45.
