Bulldogs End NCAA Individual Championships Stretch

ORLANDO, Florida — The remaining Bulldogs dropped one singles match and two doubles contests to conclude their NCAA Individual Championships run on Wednesday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.

  • No. 92 Anastasiia Gureva battled on her second day of NCAA play, but fell to Southern California's Emma Charney, 6–3, 7–5, closing out a strong first appearance on the national stage.
  • Deniz Dilek and Emma Dong fell in a two-set decision to North Carolina's No. 7 duo of Ange Oby Kajuru and Susanna Maltby, 6–3, 6–0.
  • Gureva and Aysegul Mert continued their postseason push into doubles play, but Southern California's Krisha Mahendran and Jana Hossam secured a 6–3, 6–0 win to end the Bulldog pair's championship appearance.
