Georgia Sets New School Record Against South Carolina State, 85-49

ORANGEBURG, S.C. — For the first time in program history, the Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team has held its first four opponents below 50 points as the squad defeated South Carolina State, 85-49, Thursday.

» Georgia held Alabama State to 44 points, Furman to 45, USC Upstate to 44 and South Carolina State to 49 in its the first four games this season to set a new school mark.
» Sophomore forward Dani Carnegie led Georgia with 22 points, the seventh time in her career she has gone over 20 points. She also had a career-high four steals, six rebounds and three assists.
» Sophomore guard Trinity Turner put together a near triple double with 10 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.
» Freshman forward Zhen Craft scored a season-best 11 points off a 5-for-8 shooting performance.
» South Carolina State entered Thursday's game averaging 105 points per game. Georgia held the SC State Bulldogs to a season-low 30 percent shooting effort and forced 20 turnovers.
» Georgia is 4-0 for the first time since Coach ABE's first season in Athens (2022-23).
