No. 25 Georgia Closes Opening Weekend with 3-1 Loss to No. 20 FSU

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The 25^th-ranked Georgia volleyball team concluded opening weekend with a four-set loss to No. 20 Florida State (17-25, 14-25, 25-17, 19-25).

Georgia finishes the first weekend of the season 2-1.

Fast Facts

Bianna Muoneke and Clara Brower were named to the Seminole Invitational All-Tournament Team.
For the first time this season, Georgia had three double-digit kill performers: Muoneke (13), Erykah Lovett (12), and Sophie Fischer (10).
Lovett picked up her first double-double as a Bulldog: 12 kills, 11 digs.
Georgia had six kills in each of the first and second sets. The Dogs reached the six-kill mark by 7-3 in the third. UGA tallied 16 kills in the third set and hit .433.
Georgia put up a season-high 12 blocks, six of which came in the third set. Ceci Gooch, Krista Blakely, and Fischer all had six blocks, a season high for all three.
Senior libero Bailey Cox matched her season high of 11 digs.
