Recapping Action
Graduate Erykah Lovett tallied 33 kills, setting a new Georgia rally scoring record, in Georgia's five-set loss at Arkansas Wednesday evening to open SEC play. Lovett's 33 kills came on her 22nd birthday. She became the first Georgia Bulldog to register 30 kills since Maria Taylor on Sept. 6, 2008 at Duke. Her 33 set a new Georgia rally scoring record, topping Taylor's mark of 32. Lovett picked up her third double-double, tying a career-high 21 digs. Lovett's 22nd kill of the match not only set a new career high but it was also the 1,000th kill of her collegiate career. She topped 1,000 digs last Friday and is now a career Double Grand Club member. Sophie Fischer added a season-high 21 kills and a career-high 10 digs for her second double-double. She finished with nine blocks, one shy of a triple-double.

A Look at What's Ahead
After three matches on the road to open SEC play, the Bulldogs return to Athens to host three straight matches beginning Oct. 11 against South Carolina. The Bulldogs will look to break the Georgia state attendance record for an NCAA volleyball match as part of 10K Day at Stegeman. Giveaways, prizes, and fan experiences are on the docket for 10K Day including 2,000 shirts for fans and 2,000 replica jerseys for UGA students. Georgia then hosts Ole Miss that Sunday, Oct. 13 live on SEC Network.

Coaching Connection
Alabama head coach Rashinda Reed wore the Red & Black from 2002 to 2004, graduating in 2005 with her degree in Psychology. Reed led the Bulldogs in blocks in 2002 and 2003. Reed and the Bulldogs made an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2004 at Georgia Tech.

Lovett Has Career Match at Arkansas
Graduate Erykah Lovett had not only a career match at Arkansas, she also made Georgia history in the match. She tallied a career-high 33 kills, becoming the first Georgia Bulldog to register 30 kills since Maria Taylor on Sept.

Aces Wild
Once again, the Bulldogs are among the top serving teams in the league, ranking third with 1.91 aces per set and fourth in the SEC with 90 total service aces. Georgia has topped 10 aces in a match three times in 2024. Georgia set a program record with 19 service aces against Washington on Sept. 7. The new mark topped the previous record of 17 set in 2017. Sophie Fischer (7) and Erykah Lovett (6) each set a career best at the service line in the match.

Lending a Helping Hand
Senior setter Clara Brower topped the 3,000 assist mark against Georgia Tech on Sept. 20. She ranks eighth all-time at Georgia in the category. She ranked fourth in the SEC with 10.36 assists per set last season. The Bulldogs concluded the regular season hitting .243, fifth best in the SEC.
