The Bulldogs take on 10th-ranked Georgia Tech Friday evening at McCamish Pavilion. First serve is set for 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. Georgia then takes on San Diego Saturday at 6 p.m. followed by Howard Sunday at 3 p.m. to officially close non-conference play.

Georgia swept three matches of the Bulldog Classic last week, defeating Jacksonville, Army, and Samford in straight sets. Over three matches, Georgia hit .303 on the week, recording 24 service aces (2.67/set). Sophie Fischer led Georgia's offense on the week, registering 36 kills (4.00/set) and hitting .429 in nine sets. Clara Brower handed out 8.78 assists per set and served up six aces on the week.Â

Georgia sets its sights on Southeastern Conference play next week. Conference play begins on the road at No. 3 Florida Sunday, Sept. 24. The 7 p.m. match will air nationally on SEC Network. Georgia then returns home to host No. 21 Kentucky at Ramsey Center Sept. 29, also set to air on SEC Network.

Going in to last week's Bulldog Classic, Georgia ranked sixth in the SEC with 1.74 aces per set. After serving up 24 aces over the tournament, the Dogs climbed to fourth in the league with a 2.04 average while also moving up 73 spots nationally to 34th. Kacie Evans (0.50 aces/set) and Clara Brower (0.46) each rank in the top 10 in the SEC.Â

Approaching Double Grand Status
Kacie Evans is rapidly approaching double grand status at Georgia. Evans became the 19th member of Georgia's 1,000 Kill Club last season. She is 60 digs away from 1,000 in her career. She will be the 22nd member of the 1,000 Dig Club and the 15th member of Georgia's Double Grand Club. Meghan Donovan (2015-19) was the most recent inductee into both clubs.Â
