Georgia volleyball welcomes the South Carolina Gamecocks to Stegeman Coliseum for a midweek matchup Wednesday. First serve of Georgia's SEC home opener is set for 7 p.m., ET, on ESPNU.

» Admission is FREE to all regular-season home volleyball matches. 
» The first 28 fans to enter through Gate A at Stegeman Coliseum will receive a wristband and can sit court side. Food and beverage will be provided.

- Georgia leads the all-time series 50-26

Up Next
The Aggies of Texas A&M come to Stegeman Coliseum for two matches Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday, Oct. 2. The series begins Saturday at 2 p.m. while Sunday's match will air nationally on SEC Network beginning at noon. Following its three-match homestand, Georgia will hit the road for three straight beginning with two matches at Auburn Oct. 8 and 9. 
 
Let's Recap
Georgia fell to Mississippi State in the 2022 SEC opener Sept. 21 in four sets in Starkville, Mississippi. Kacie Evans topped the double-digit kill mark in the match, tallying 12. Evans earned her first double-double of the season with 12 digs. Abby Maesch laid down a season-best 13 kills to lead the Bulldogs' offense. Sophie Fischer also topped the double-digit mark at 11 kills while also recording a pair of service aces. 
 
Ace, Ace, Baby
Georgia has consistently had strong serving since Tom Black's arrival in Athens and 2022 has been no difference. Nationally, Georgia's 1.88 aces per set ranks 37th while checking in at third in the SEC. Individually, Kacie Evans (0.41 aces/set) ranks ninth in the SEC. 
 
Evans is Killing it
Kacie Evans' 4.03 kills per set ranks 41st in the country and fourth in the SEC. She's fourth in the conference with a 4.77 points per set average, a clip that currently ranks 28th in the country. 
 
The Great Wall of Fischer
Junior Sophie Fischer currently ranks 27th in the country with 1.38 blocks per set and third in the SEC. Her 52 total blocks also ranks second in the league. As a team, Georgia's 2.4 blocks per set ranks fifth in the SEC. Offensively, Fischer's .343 hitting percentage is eighth in the SEC.
