Georgia Seeks Fourth SEC TitleÂ
The University of Georgia equestrian team seeks to claim its fourth Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship as the No. 3 seed in this year's SEC Championship taking place March 25-26 in Auburn, Alabama.Â

Fifth-ranked Georgia begins competition against the No. 2 ranked Auburn Tigers. This marks the third meeting between the Bulldogs and Tigers as this season's series is split, 1-1.Â

Georgia closed out regular season competition 8-4, finishing 2-4 in SEC contest. Auburn hosts the SEC Championship as the No. 2 seed with an 8-3 overall record and 4-2 mark in SEC action. Â

No. 1 seed Texas A&M will face off against No. 4 seed South Carolina in the semi-finals. Â

The FieldÂ
For the SEC Championship, Texas A&M has received the No. 1 seed with Auburn checking in at No. 2, followed by Georgia at No.3, and South Carolina at No. 4.Â

Seeding for the SEC Equestrian Championships is determined by conference winning percentage at the conclusion of a six-meet conference regular season schedule for each team, during which each squad faces every SEC foe home and away. Georgia defeated both South Carolina and Auburn at home. Â

NCEA Riders of the MonthÂ
For the months of February and March, Georgia riders have been chosen as the NCEA Rider of the Month. Â

In February, sophomore Jordan Toering went undefeated through five meets in Fences and won two Most Outstanding Player honors, both on the road. Four of her five scores were an 80 or above, defeating her opponents by an average margin of 10.2 points.Â

Freshman Jillian Stopperich was chosen as NCEA Rider of the Month for March. The Horsemanship rider helped upset top-ranked Auburn with a winning 75.5 ride. The next day, she rode to a score of 75.5 and earned MOP honors.Â

SEC Riders of the MonthÂ
Three Georgia riders were named SEC Riders of the Month for their accomplishments in the month of March.Â
Â
Freshman Catalina Peralta was named Co-Fences Rider of the Month. Peralta helped Georgia upset Auburn, defeating her Tiger opponent with a 90 and earning her first MOP honor. The next day against UT Martin, She earned an 86 and defeated her opponent by seven points.Â

Jordan Toering earned Co-Flat Rider of the Month honors for her winning rides against Auburn and UT Martin. Toering scored an 89 against the Tigers, defeating her opponent by two points. The next day, the sophomore rode to a 97.5 earning her MOP honors and marking the third-best flat score in program history.Â

Pulling in her second Rider of the Month award, freshman Jillian Stopperich went 2-0 during the month of March. She posed two 75.5 winning rides against Auburn and UT Martin, winning MOP honors over the Skyhawks. Â

20 Years of GloryÂ
The 2021-22 season marks Georgia Equestrian's 20th season. As one of the top equestrian programs in the country, the Bulldogs have claimed seven NCEA Championship titles and three SEC Championship titles, all under head coach Meghan Boenig.
