Georgia volleyball returns to Athens to host the Missouri Tigers in a two-match series this weekend at Stegeman Coliseum. The series opens Saturday at 2 p.m. between the Bulldogs and Tigers. Sunday's noon matchup will air on ESPNU.

Series History
- Georgia trails the all-time series against Missouri 5-11
- Since Missouri joined the SEC in 2012, Georgia is 4-10 against the Tigers
- In Athens, Missouri has won four of six all-time meetings
- Georgia has won one of the last nine matchups against Missouri (lone win in Columbia in 2017)
 
A Look at What's Ahead
Georgia's final road trip of the season will be to Oxford, Mississippi next week for a two-match series at Ole Miss. The Bulldogs and Rebels will square off Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m., ET, each night. The season will wrap up Nov. 26 and 27 at Stegeman when LSU comes to Athens. 
 
Let's Recap
Georgia dropped a three-set decision to No. 7 Kentucky Wednesday evening at Memorial Coliseum. Kacie Evans led the offensive attack for Georgia, registering nine kills and picked up eight digs in the match. Sage Naves, Phoebe Awoleye, and Amber Stivrins all recorded six kills. Freshman libero Bailey Cox led the team with 11 digs Wednesday evening. Setters Dalaney Hans and Clara Brower each added seven digs.
 
Coming Out Strong
This season, Georgia has come out of the gate strong, winning the opening set in 16-of-23 matches. The Bulldogs have taken opening sets by an average of over five points. 
 
Aces Wild
The Bulldogs have had a history of excellent serving under Tom Black and 2021 has been no exception. Georgia ranks third in the SEC with 125 total services aces this season and with 1.4 aces per set. Individually, junior Amber Stivrins ranks second in the SEC with 38 total and third with 0.44 aces per set. 
 
Blocking Steadily Improving
Georgia concluded the 2020-21 season ranked fourth in the SEC in blocking as a team, completing the campaign with 2.25 blocks per set. It was the highest finish in the category under Tom Black. SEC All-Freshman Team member Phoebe Awoleye finished top-five in the league with 1.05 blocks per set as a rookie.
 
This season, Awoleye is sixth in the SEC with 97 total blocks and eighth with 1.11 blocks per set. Georgia's 205.5 team blocks is fourth in the league.
