ATHENS, Ga. – The seventh-ranked University of Georgia gymnastics team returns to the road for its final Southeastern Conference dual meet of 2019 against No. 4 LSU at 8:00 p.m. CT on Friday inside the Maravich Center in Baton Rouge.Â

The seventh-ranked University of Georgia gymnastics team upset No. 3 Florida, 197.450-197.375, last week at the Exactech Arena, handing the Gators their first SEC loss of the season.

The win marks the first time the GymDogs came out on top over the Gators in Gainesville since 2008.

MARISSA OAKLEY AND RACHAEL LUKACS COLLECT SEC WEEKLY HONORSÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
A University of Georgia GymDog duo earned Southeastern Conference weekly gymnastics awards, it was announced Tuesday. Sophomore Marissa Oakley claims her first SEC Specialist of the Week honor and freshman Rachael Lukacs is SEC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

In Georgia's upset victory over the Florida Gators, Oakley swung to her career-high score of 9.950 to contribute to the team's highest away score for the event with a 49.300. The Huntersville, North Carolina native also earned her high score of the season on beam to help the GymDogs chip a season-high mark of 49.475.

Rachael Lukacs contributed two 9.900's to Georgia's fourth-consecutive SEC victory.
The Hillsborough, New Jersey native earned her fourth consecutive 9.900 (or better) on vault and her fifth score of 9.900 (or better) on floor.

Georgia freshman Rachel Baumann and Florida sophomore Alyssa Baumann competed against each other for the first time as two SEC rivals face off.Â

Both sisters trained at WOGA in Dallas, Texas but competed at different levels throughout their time in club. Â

In the battle of the Baumann sisters, Rachel scored her career-high 9.925 on beam.
