Georgia volleyball takes to the road for a pair of matches in Mississippi this weekend. 
 
The Bulldogs take on Ole Miss Friday evening at 7:30 p.m., ET, in Oxford. Georgia then travels to Starkville for a showdown with the Mississippi State Bulldogs Sunday at 2 p.m.

A Look Ahead
Up next, Georgia's returns to Stegeman for the final two home matches of the 2019 season. South Carolina comes to Athens Friday, Nov. 22 for a rematch of the SEC opener. Georgia will then honor seniors on Nov. 24 when Florida visits Stegeman in the home finale. 
 
Recap of the Last Match with Ole Miss
The Bulldogs defeated Ole Miss on Oct. 15 in four sets which lengthened its winning streak to six matches. The Bulldogs were led offensively by freshman Kacie Evans, tallying 20 kills, the first 20-kill performance of her career. Along with 10 digs, it was Evans' fifth double-double of the season. At the service line, Brynn Chandler registered a career-high seven service aces. She also tallied a career-best 12 digs. As a team, Georgia registered 12 aces altogether as junior Kendall Glover added three, tying a season high. Defensively, Glover picked up 23 digs. Meghan Donovan also tallied a double-double, handing out 48 assists and putting up 18 digs, tying a season high. 
 
Let's Recap
Georgia dropped its first two home matches over the weekend, falling to #18 Kentucky then to Missouri. Freshman Kacie Evans led the offensive charge, averaging 4.86 kills per set with a .316 hitting clip. Defensively, Kendall Glover (3.71 digs/set) and Meghan Donovan (3.29) led the Bulldogs while Sage Naves put up 1.71 blocks per set over the weekend. 
 
The Bulldogs at Home
Georgia has opened the 2019 home schedule with a 7-2 record. In the first three seasons under Tom Black, Georgia has recorded a record at home of 25-13. Season one saw Georgia go 12-5 in Athens. The 2018 season was the first full-time season for Georgia volleyball in Stegeman Coliseum as Georgia went .500 at 6-6. In home-opening tournaments the last two seasons, the Bulldogs are 7-0. 
 
Welcome to the Double Grand Club
Senior setter Meghan Donovan is recorded the 1,000-dig mark in her career at Georgia against Missouri on Nov. 10. She ranks fourth all-time at UGA with over 4,600 assists. She became the 14th member of Georgia's Double Grand Club. She is only the third Bulldog setter to join the club. The last Bulldog inducted was Erika Clark (2007-10; 1,012 kills, 1,160 digs). The last setter was Jill Moore (1988-91; 4,023 assists, 1,023 digs). 
 
Using a Strong Start
This season, Georgia has won the first set 15 times. In those matches, the Bulldogs are 13-2. Reversely, when Georgia drops the opening set, they are 4-6 on the season. 
 
An Offense on the rise
Georgia ranks in the top three of three major offensive average statistical categories in the SEC including aces (1.56), assists (12.93), and kills (13.84). In team totals, Georgia leads the SEC in assists (1,164). Individually, Kacie Evans ranks 10th with 3.33 kills per set and 10th with 3.84 points per set. 
 
Aces Wild
As a team, Georgia's 140 aces ranks second in the SEC while also ranking second in aces per set at 1.56. Individually, Brynn Chandler (0.32) and Kacie Evans (0.32) rank fifth and sixth, respectively in the conference. In SEC play, the Bulldogs rank third the league with 80 total aces and second with 1.47 aces per set. Chandler ranks second with 0.43 aces per set. 
 
Helping Hands
Senior setter Meghan Donovan, Georgia's lone senior, ranks fourth all-time with 4,669 career assists. That figure ranks sixth amongst active career leaders in Division I. This season, her 11.36 assists per set ranks 16th in the country and is currently second in the SEC. As a team, Georgia leads the SEC with 1,085 assists, 1,022 of which have come from Donovan. Nationally, Georgia ranks 26th with 12.93 assists per set.
