WEEK 10 NOTES
ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia soccer continues Southeastern Conference action this weekend, with one game at home and one on the road. Georgia (4-10-1, 0-7 SEC) will host Mississippi State (7-4-3, 1-4-2) for a battle of the Bulldogs on Thursday, October 19 at 7 p.m. at the Turner Soccer Complex. The team will then travel to face the Gamecocks of South Carolina (13-1, 7-0 SEC) on Sunday, October 22 at 6 p.m. at Stone Stadium.
Scouting the Other Bulldogs
Mississippi State is coming off a 3-2 double-overtime loss to Alabama after rallying behind a 2-0 deficit.
MaKayla Waldner is tied for second in the SEC in game-winning goals (4). Waldner is also fourth in the league in goals per game (0.58) and eighth in the SEC in goals scored (7).
Scouting the Gamecocks
South Carolina has spent seven weeks in the top-5 of the United Soccer Coaches Poll this season.
The Gamecocks are on an 11 game win streak and remain undefeated in conference play.
