KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The 22nd-ranked Tennessee Lad Volunteers posted a 3-0, Southeastern Conference victory over the Georgia Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Tennessee earned the victory with set scores of 25-20, 25-19 and 25-13 to improve to 19-5 overall and 10-4 in SEC action while Georgia drops to 11-14 overall 3-11 in SEC play. The Lady Vols never trailed in the first and third sets, came back four down in the second set and also never allowed the Bulldogs to score consecutive points in the third set.

Tennessee also controlled the match from the defensive side of the net by out-blocking Georgia, 9.0 to 4.0, and limiting the Bulldogs to a .156 hitting percentage despite redshirt freshman outside hitter Kathleen Luft tying for a match-best 11 kills.
