Christen Shedden enters her eighth season as the Program Specialist for the swimming and diving program. In her role, Shedden oversees team logistics, including travel and scheduling. She also assists with the meet timing system, serves as a liaison to the team parents, and organizes the team summer camps.
Shedden joined UGA in September 2014 after previously serving as a customer service representative for multiple organizations. She also served as a recreational therapist for Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, Tennessee.
Shedden graduated from Tennessee in 2004 with a degree in Human Ecology, studying Recreation and Leisure Studies with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation. During her time at UT, she served as both the captain and advisor for the Men's Swimming and Diving Timettes Hosting Program, assisting the team in recruiting, timing, and event planning.
Her husband, Dr. Austin Shedden, works for the UGA Health Center as a Clinical Psychologist.
