'Dogs win SEC East; Win 10 for seventh time in last 11 years

Georgia won its fourth SEC East title in the last 10 years and also won ten games for the seventh time in the last ten seasons. Along the way, the 'Dogs defeated rivals Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, and Georgia Tech all in the same season for the first time since 1981.
Individually, Aaron Murray set the school record for season TD passes with 35; CB Brandon Boykin set the Georgia career returns record and was named winner of the 2011 Paul Hornung Award as the nation's most versatile player; and three Bulldogs received first team All-America recognition--LB Jarvis Jones, FS Bacarri Rambo, and C Ben Jones.
Georgia's average home football attendance of 92,612 ranked eighth best in the country for the 2011 season according to NCAA statistics. The eighth-place finish marks the 29th time in the last 30 years that Georgia has ranked among the nation's top eight teams in average home attendance.
