Spirit Program Appearance Types & Fees
UGA DEPARTMENT & NON-PROFIT
The client must provide our mascot transportation and per diem if the appearance location is outside 20 miles of our main campus in Athens, Georgia. Internal approval is required for these requests.

Spirit Program Appearance Request Guidelines
Appearance Request Process
- Any request received less then (3) weeks prior to your event will not be cast.
- Appearance must be confirmed by payment 96 hours prior to requested date. If payment is not received, appearance is automatically cancelled.
- Only appearance requests within 20 miles of Stegeman Coliseum on our main campus in Athens, Georgia will be granted. Internal approval is required for these requests.
Appearance Payment Policies
- Personal and Non-Profit appearance must be confirmed by payment 96 hours prior to requested date. If payment is not received, appearance is automatically cancelled.
- Payment must be submitted via secure link emailed to requestor. No personal or corporate checks are accepted.
- UGA Departments will be invoiced internally and paid via ACH only.
- Please see above information regarding appearance fee structures.
- There is no refund and funds are non-transferrable for cancellations with less than 48 hour’s notice.
Appearance Guidelines
- Hairy Dawg appearances must have a private changing room/area away from guests and a place where he can safely store his belongings. Public bathrooms are not suitable changing spaces.
- Please note that outdoor events may require that Hairy Dawg take a 15-minute break during the appearance.
- If alcohol is being served while our mascot/spirit teams are at your event, team members must be stationed away from the area where it is being served. Please instruct your guests that pictures /videos may not be taken with alcohol in hand.
- If guests are inappropriate in anyway, the spirit members will leave immediately, and no refund will be provided.
- A designated parking location is required for appearances and includes any applicable parking fees. Parking fees are the responsibility of requestor (includes pre-paid or validation on site prior to departure).
- Please provide a thorough summary of your appearance needs. It's helpful context for us to ensure we put the best and most capable individuals on your event and that information is critical to ensure that happens.
- If you are requesting Spirit (Cheer &/or Dance) please provide details on what all you would like them to do while at your event.
- All CDC/University protocols must be followed at appearances.
- No corporate and/or businesses are approved for appearances by the UGA Spirit Program. Appearances are only approved for official sponsors and/or corporate partners of the University of Georgia Athletic Association.
