Alonso, Delgado to Compete in Battle in the Bay Classic

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Senior Julian Alonso and junior Andrew Delgado will take part in the Battle in the Bay Classic from October 1-4 at the California Tennis Club.

Fast Facts:

Two Bulldogs, senior Julian Alonso and junior Andrew Delgado, will represent the Bulldogs in San Francisco this weekend.
In singles, there is a draw size of 32 players. Both Alonso and Delgado are set to compete in the event.
In doubles, there is a draw size of 16 pairings, and Alonso/Delgado will make their debut as a pairing in the event.
Alonso enters the weekend as the fifth-overall seed in the singles competition. Delgado is unseeded in singles, and the pairing is unseeded in doubles.
Last year, former Bulldogs Santiago Giamichelle and Derrick Chen competed in the tournament. Giamichelle reached the quarterfinals of the event, Chen took home the consolation singles title, and the duo reached the quarterfinals in doubles.
