ATHENS, Ga. – A late penalty resulted in the University of Georgia soccer team's second defeat of the season, falling, 2-1, to No. 15 Florida State, 2-1, Thursday night at the Turner Soccer Complex in front of 1,615 spectators.

Georgia (3-2-2) took the lead in the 35^th minute off graduate forward Emma Pettersen's second goal of the season, assisted by junior midfielder Kieryn Jeter.
The Seminoles leveled the game in the 83^rd minute behind Sam Erbach's finish after a scrabble in the 18-yard box.
