Allen To Miss Rest Of The Season Due To Knee Injury

ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia sophomore outfielder Henry Allen will miss the remainder of the 2026 baseball season due to a right knee injury.

Allen, a 6-4, 210-pound native of Auburn, Ala., injured his knee running to first base during this past Friday's win over Missouri. 

Allen, who appeared in 46 games including 42 starts this year, batted .321 with 13 home runs and 41 RBI. He posted a .635 slugging percentage and a .443 on base percentage. Allen started 40 games in left field, one at first base, one at second base plus saw action at third base this year.

He has hit the longest and hardest home runs this season, measuring 477 feet at No. 14 Arkansas and 459 feet versus Georgia Tech at Truist Park in Atlanta. The exit velocity on the home run at Truist was 112 miles per hour (mph) while earlier this season, he hit a home run against East Tennessee State that measured 116 mph.

The fifth-ranked Bulldogs are 38-11 overall and lead the Southeastern Conference with an 18-6 mark. Georgia plays host to LSU in an SEC series starting Friday at 6 p.m.
