Georgia Drops 4-3 Decision to LSU in SEC Tournament Quarterfinals

COLLEGE STATION, Texas --- The six-seed Georgia men's tennis team fell to No. 3- seed LSU in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament on Friday afternoon at the George P. Mitchell '40 Tennis Center at Texas A&M.

FAST FACTS:

The Bulldogs gained an early lead after winning the doubles point. The Tigers won on court two before Derrick Chen and Noah Johnston leveled the field on court three. Arda Azkara and Santiago Giamichelle clinched the point on court one.
Gabriele Vulpitta was the first to win a singles match on court six, 6-4, 6-0.
No. 42 Will Jansen gave the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead with a win on court two against No. 25 Erik Arutiunian, 6-2, 6-3.
The Tigers won four straight singles matches to claim the win and advance to the SEC Tournament semifinals.

Georgia will await its NCAA Tournament fate until the Selection Show on Monday, April 27.
