Georgia Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season with Four Distance Finishes at Yellow Jacket Invite

ATLANTA — Georgia track & field begins the outdoor season at Georgia Tech's Yellow Jacket Invitational at the George C. Griffin Track & Field Facility with four distance finishes on Friday night. 

Fast Facts
  • Four Lady Bulldogs posted finishes in the women's 5000 meter race late Saturday evening. 
  • Freshman Lauren Skeens crossed the finish line first for Georgia at 17:38.59 to secure 12th place. 
  • Fellow freshmen Erin Musty and Maeve Waddell followed close behind, with Musty finishing in 15th place at 17:46.93 and Waddell right behind in 16th place at  17:48.32.
  • Graduate transfer Collette Lowengrub rounded out the Bulldog finishers crossing the line at 18:18.1.

The Bulldogs will head south next weekend for Miami's Hurricane Collegiate Invitational held March 27-28 at Cobb Stadium.
