Brooke Gleichowski Named to SEC Gymnastics Community Service Team
March 19, 2026 | Gymnastics
ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia sophomore gymnastics student-athlete Brooke Gleichowski has been appointed to the 2026 Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Community Service Team, the league announced Thursday.
The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 22 league-sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
The Gainesville, Florida native was also named to the 2025 SEC Community Service Team and selected as a 2025–26 Winter Allstate NACDA Good Works Team nominee. In the classroom, she was a 2025 WCGA Scholastic All-American and a member of the 2024-25 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
Gleichowski serves as a high school girls' small group leader at Athens Church, dedicating time weekly to guide discussions, mentor students, and provide steady support as they navigate high school. She also volunteers monthly at Athens Church College Nights as a member of the prayer team, helping prepare the space for nearly 1,000 college students by praying over every seat and contributing to a welcoming environment. In addition to her church involvement, Gleichowski volunteered at Barrow Elementary School, reading to students and encouraging learning. She spent time assisting Special Olympics athletes in preparing routines for competition, offering encouragement and skills help. Through the University of Georgia's Spooky Dawgs event, Gleichowski joined fellow student-athletes in hosting a Halloween celebration for faculty families. She has also supported Operation Teammate, engaging with children of military families, and participated in Angel Tree around the holidays.
Gleichowski is a Social Entrepreneurship major at UGA. She has competed in five meets this season with a season high of 9.875 on beam and one appearance on floor.
The Bulldogs will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday for the SEC Gymnastics Championships. Georgia, the five seed in the championship, will compete in the first session at 3 p.m. ET, airing live on SEC Network.
