The Lowdown: Topping a school and facility record to win her first SEC title two weeks ago, Hodge left the field behind in the 200m prelims with a 22.28, trimming .04 off her previous mark.  This makes her the No. 4 all-time collegiate performer with the No. 7 all-time collegiate performance.  Hodge will race in the 200m final at 6:30 p.m. on day two.
Â
Hodge, who hails from Douglasville, Ga., matched Autumn Wilson's No. 2 finish in UGA history with a personal record 7.12 in the 60m prelims.  Hodge was second in her heat and third overall and will race in the 60m final on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. along with Jackson.
Â
Jackson, a native of Redford, Mich., finished fourth in her heat and seventh overall with a 7.20.  She already has a trio of top three performances in the 60m final at NCAA Indoors in her career.
Â
Foote, a native of Savanna la Mar, Jamaica, ran the second fastest time of her career after taking 14th for San Diego State at the meet in 2025.   Oakley, a native of Clarendon, Jamaica, advanced to her third straight 400m final at the NCAA Indoor Championships after taking third in 2025.
Â
Simms, a native of Allen, Texas, finished his first lap in second place during the fourth heat and finished in that same second spot with a 45.62.  This put Simms in sixth overall in the prelims for the Bulldogs, who have won the last three NCAA indoor 400m races.
Â
Cooper, a native of Atlanta, Ga., clocked the second-best time of her career behind an altitude adjusted 8.01 with an 8.04 to take second in the opening heat.  Also of note, freshman Chelsi Williams matched her personal best with an 8.07 (No. 5 UGA history), but missed the final by .004 for ninth place.
Â
When the men's 60m hurdles rolled around, freshman Le'Ezra Brown topped his own school record with a 7.56.  This passed his 7.57 that he had clocked twice before, most recently at the SEC Championships.  However, Brown finished two seconds behind the eighth and final qualifier.
