Quotes:
Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson
On getting a top-5 win…
"I don't even look at it like that. I look at it as they are finally listening to what I'm saying about how talented they are. We can't use 'we're so young' anymore, right? We're in February now, so we had a really good defensive game plan coming in. We just had to get them back and locked in. I think I just heard Danny say it, we have got to stay consistent. Consistency for us is really key. We've been up and down with the game, so we have got to keep being consistent."
On defensive improvements…
"We'll watch film from the last game and we didn't play defense the way we should play defense. I think any winning team in the country plays defense. If you listen to anybody talk, you have to play defense in the SEC otherwise you're going to lose. We had a really good game plan on Mikayla [Blakes.] Some of them got shots off, but she didn't get her typical threes, the kid can play. We're always going to harp on defense and any really good team in the country is going to harp on defense."
Mia Woolfolk
#33 | Forward | Sophomore
On her fourth quarter performance…
"Honestly, it was my mindset that was working for me: knowing that if we play how we can, we can do whatever we want. Now that we're in that position, before the quarter all I know is I got to work."
What getting a win like this means…
" It's amazing going into this like you said, just like the postseason, with some momentum, because we still have some heavy-hitters coming up, and this is one off the notch."
Dani Carnegie
#3 | Guard | Sophomore
On what helped to get the upset…
"Our togetherness, We locked in on one goal, and that was to win, and we knew we had to play defense."
The crowd's impact on the win…
"It was amazing, we are a team that plays off of energy, and we just love that, we love the togetherness, the crowd, the community, how they back us up. They fight for us, so we have to fight for them so they can show out for us."
