Georgia Continues during Day Two at the Battle in the Bay Classic

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Graduate Derrick Chen advanced to the singles consolation quarterfinals while senior Santi Giamichelle reached the quarterfinals on Friday at the Battle in the Bay Classic.

No. 84 Chen/Giamichelle fell in the doubles competition quarterfinals to No. 16 Nicholas Godsick/Hudson Rivera (Stanford).
Santi Giamichelle earned his first ranked win as a Bulldog over No. 86 Nicholas Godsick (Stanford) in the round of 16. The senior dropped his quarterfinal match to TCU's Duncan Chan – the No. 106 player in the nation.
Graduate Chen advanced to the consolation quarterfinals via walkover.
