ATHENS, Ga. — Graduate student Chantal El Chaib earned an individual bid to the NCAA Women's Golf Regionals and will travel to Lubbock, Texas, to compete at The Rawls Course from May 5-7.

The NCAA Regionals, which feature 396 total competitors, are slated to be held at six regional sites, each of which includes 12 teams and six individuals competing to advance to the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, Calif., from May 16-21. The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each of the six regional sites will earn an NCAA Championship bid.

El Chaib is the second-seeded individual selection in the Lubbock Regional, boasting a tournament win, three top-three finishes, and five top-10 placements this season. She leads the Bulldogs in stroke average (73.52), par-or-better rounds (13), and birdies (89) this season while posting Georgia's lowest 18-hole score of the season (66) at the San Diego State Classic, which ranks tied for sixth in program history.

The NCAA Regionals will consist of three days of stroke play, with El Chaib playing 18 holes per day from May 5-7.
