Bulldogs Down No. 14 Texas A&M, 4-3, For Highest Ranked Win Of Season

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia men's tennis team defeated No. 14 Texas A&M 4-3 on Saturday in Dan Magill Tennis Complex to secure their highest ranked win of the season. 503 fans gathered to honor seniors Oscar Pinto Sansano, Ryan Colby, Miguel Perez-Peña and Thomas Paulsell. The Bulldogs move to 16-10 (8-6 SEC), and the Aggies slide to 16-9 (9-5).

The Bulldogs took the first doubles match on court two, marking duo Thomas Paulsell and Ryan Colby's 13^th overall win of the season. The Aggies ultimately secured the doubles point after a hard-fought 6(5)-7 tiebreak battle on court three between Georgia's Perez-Peña/Vulpitta and A&M's Perego/Patil.
The Georgia team recorded their highest ranked win of the season by defeating the Aggies.
Sophomore Niels Ratiu captured the first singles win for Georgia defeating Ritesh Patil.
Pinto Sansano defeated his opponent in straight sets to earn his team-leading 18^th win of the spring.
Senior Paulsell won in straight sets on court three for his career-best ninth SEC win.
Perez-Peña clinched the match for Georgia defeating Alan Magadan on court two.

"It was hard after doubles. We lost a tough doubles point, and it was tight and just by a few points on every court. I tried to go out there and just swing and play my singles game. The match went my way, and I'm really proud of the result. It gave a lot of hope to all the guys, so I'm happy."
