April 01, 2025 | Soccer
ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia soccer team added to its 2025 fall roster with the addition of transfer defender Kamryn Winger, as announced by head coach Keidane McAlpine Tuesday afternoon.
Winger, a Woodbridge, Virginia product who spent her first season at UCLA, will join the Bulldogs this fall, joining seven incoming freshman players. Three transfers, Laila Booker, Sage Glover, and Juliauna Hayward, joined the team for this spring season along with freshmen Hailey Gordon, Ayda Pannell, and Mya Townes.
Winger was a member of UCLA's roster for the 2024 season, but did not play due to injury. Prior to joining the Bruins, she was a three-year letterwinner at Charles Colgan High School, helping the team win its first-ever state championship in 2023. During her career, she was a three-time All-State, All-Region, and All-Met honors, along with the 2023 Gatorade Virginia Player of the Year Award.
Winger attended United States Youth National Team Camps from U-14 to U-19, appearing in two international matches against England in 2023. She also helped lead her Virginia DA club team finish second at the 2019 National Championships and earned four ECNL First Team All-Conference honors.
