
Georgia to host Texas A&M in semifinals of 2025 SEC Equestrian Championship

ATHENS, Ga. -- The Georgia equestrian team will open up the 2025 SEC Championship against Texas A&M on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C.Â

Georgia (6-5, 4-2 SEC) has been given the No. 2 seed, while Texas A&M (7-6, 2-4 SEC) has been given the No. 3 seed based on each team's Southeastern Conference (SEC) regular season winning percentage.Â

This will be the third meeting between the Bulldogs and the Aggies this season. Georgia upset the Aggies with a tiebreaker win, 9-9 (1676.25-1659.75), at home in the first matchup, while they fell 12-4 in the second meeting in College Station, Texas. Georgia boasts a 24-15 all-time record against the Aggies.Â

Both Georgia and Texas A&M completed the regular season with losses to top-ranked Auburn. Georgia fell 11-8 on March 1 before Texas A&M dropped their meet 11-9 on March 8.Â

The winner of this round will face the winner of No. 1 seed Auburn vs. No. 4 seed South Carolina in the championship round on Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m.Â
