No. 7 Georgia to Host No. 8 South Carolina to Close Out Regular Season Home Slate

ATHENS – The University of Georgia equestrian team will host the eighth-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the UGA Equestrian Complex to close out its regular season home slate.
No. 7 Georgia (5-4, 3-1 SEC) returns to Bishop after competition in Texas this past weekend. Georgia holds a 30-13 all-time lead against South Carolina (3-4, 1-3 SEC) with a 12-4 record against the Gamecocks in Bishop. The two teams met three times in the 2023-24 season. Georgia was 2-0 against South Carolina in the regular season. The two teams met in the semifinal round of the SEC Championship, where Georgia defeated South Carolina to place third with a 12-7 win.
The Gamecocks come into the matchup with a 3-4 record this season. South Carolina has one top-five win, toppling No. 4 Texas A&M at its most recent home meet. They come into Bishop off a 14-6 loss against No. 1 Auburn on Feb. 15.
Following the conclusion of the meet, Georgia will honor its 15 seniors for their contributions to the program.
Georgia Equestrian t-shirts will be given to the first 75 fans at Saturday's meet. There will be arts and crafts at the Kid's Zone located at the promotions table.
