Georgia Inks Seven Riders on National Signing Day
November 12, 2025 | Equestrian
ATHENS – University of Georgia head equestrian coach Meghan Boenig has announced that seven riders have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their equestrian careers and education at UGA beginning in the 2026-27 school year.
The signees include: Paisley Anderson of West Fargo, North Dakota, Drew Gordon of Fairfield, Connecticut, Maggie King of The Woodlands, Texas, Katelyn Martin of Tampa, Florida, Estelle McParlan of Fennville, Michigan, Shiloh Roseboom of Brentwood, Tennessee and Kennedy Williams of Blanchard, Oklahoma.
"We are thrilled to welcome these seven incredible ladies to our family!" Boenig said. "They bring a depth of experience, success, commitment and passion to our team. From National to World Championships, they know how to compete. Each standout most importantly has the team character we search for, a commitment and excitement to support each other in all things. Pair these traits with great success in the classroom, it means they will represent Georgia exceptionally in every aspect for years to come.
We have had a wonderful time getting to foster these relationships with them during the recruiting process. Coach [Anna] Becker and Coach [McKenzie] Lantz continue to help us secure outstanding women to continue the legacy of success expected of Georgia Equestrian. It's with open arms that we embrace Paisley, Drew, Maggie, Katelyn, Estelle, Shiloh and Kennedy to the Mane Dawg family!"
Paisley Anderson | Western | West Fargo, North Dakota
Paisley Anderson brings championship talent to Georgia. She was crowned as the 2025 World Champion in L2 14-18 Trail. Anderson added to her resume a 2025 NSBA World Champion L1 14-18 Horsemanship crown. She earned a Top-10 finish with a seventh-place slot in L3 14-18 Horsemanship in 2025.
"Paisley is an outstanding addition to the Georgia Equestrian family," Western Associate Head Coach McKenzie Lantz said. "She has established herself as a standout competitor within the AQHA, earning multiple top-ten finishes at the AQHYA World Show and the All-American Quarter Horse Congress and consistently excelling in several of the all-around events. I am looking forward to gaining a rider from Clark Quarter Horses who produces incredible discipline, cultivates a hard work ethic and knows how to build a very well-rounded successful rider. Her attention to detail, work ethic and drive to continually improve are what set her apart. I first met her at one of our clinics, and she came with an eagerness to learn, a great attitude and she worked really hard even when she thought no one was watching. It became very clear that weekend that she was meant to be a Bulldog. Paisley's competitive success is matched by her leadership and character, making her a perfect fit for the Georgia program. We're thrilled to welcome her to Athens and can't wait to see the impact she'll make as a Bulldog — both in the arena and as a leader among her teammates."
Drew Gordon | Jumping Seat | Fairfield, Connecticut
Drew Gordon takes on Athens with a plethora of experience. She recently finished fourth at the Northeast Maclay Regionals in 2025 and sixth place in the USEF Medal at Devon in 2024. She qualified for USET Finals 2025 and was the winner of Ocala 2* Talent Search Medal. Gordon placed 10th at the WIHS Children's Jumper Championship in 2024 and earned third place at Hits Equation Championship in 2024. She earned 8th place at the 2023 USHJA Hunt Seat Finals. Gordon earned 10th place NHS Regionals Area Championship in 2023.
"Drew is a rider that we first met when she came to a clinic a few years ago," Jumping Seat Associate Head Coach Anna Becker said. "She stood out not only for her riding ability, but her positivity, coachability and how she worked well with and cheered others on. She showed that she is the all-around package as a future teammate. Drew has had some tough luck when it comes to horses and injuries and has kept a positive mindset and work ethic through it all. She has brought some greener horses along for their first experiences in the equitation this year and did so with grace and patience. All good qualities that transition well into college riding. Drew is also a working student for her trainers, and she is awake and working at the horse shows before most riders even set their alarms. As a former working student myself, I know how well she will be set up for college and helping our team! Another standout student, Drew will be a wonderful addition to the Georgia program. We are so excited that Drew is a Dawg!"
Maggie King | Jumping Seat | Woodlands, Texas
Maggie King comes to Athens with a win in the 2025 North American Flat Championship at the Capital Challenge Horse Show, as well as a win in the WIHS Jumper Phase at Devon 2025. She was the 2025 WEF Age Group Equitation Circuit Champion in 2025 and placed 12th in the Gladstone Cup. She finished top 24 at Maclay Finals in 2024 and 2025. King won the 2024 Maclay Regionals and was the winner of Hamel/NHS Finals and NCEA Finals in 2023.
"Maggie is someone that has been on my radar for a long time," Becker said. "She has made a quick transition to the equitation at a later age than most, but has already had a great deal of success. I have always told Maggie that she is one of the strongest flat riders in the country, which was put on display with her recent win in the North American Equitation on the Flat Championship at Capital Challenge this fall! Unlike most riders, she is excited when a class asks for no stirrup work- and I love that about her. She has such a strong and memorable presence and style in the arena every time that she goes in, and has had major success in the equitation, hunters and now the jumpers as well. Maggie is a very strong competitor and wants to do things the right way. I look forward not only to what she will accomplish at Georgia, but also in her final Junior year in the sport. She also is a straight A student and a standout in the classroom. Maggie has been bleeding red and black for a long time, and I know how excited she is to join this team and family. I know she will achieve great things here as a team player, a student and as an athlete. We are so excited that Maggie is a Dawg!"
Katelyn Martin | Jumping Seat | Tampa, Florida
Katelyn Martin signs to Georgia with a decorated resume. She joins the Bulldogs after earning a Top 5 in every Equitation class at 2025 Devon. Martin finished third in the 2025 Maclay Regionals. She finished fifth at the 2025 Dudley Traverse City Cup and had a 12th-place finish in the North American Equitation Championship in 2024. Martin also placed 9th in the USHJA Jumping Seat Finals in 2024 and had top places in Hunter Derbies at WEC and Traverse City.
"Katelyn is another rider that has been on my radar for a while, and who I know has been working towards the goal of joining our team for a long time," Becker said. "Katelyn is a strong competitor that has a wonderful consistency to her riding. Something I always notice about Katelyn is her ability to ride the tracks of every course perfectly to plan, which is not something everyone can do. She has a strong confidence and poise in the arena both over fences and in her flatwork that stand out as well. Not only that, but I always love to hear all the work that Katelyn does behind the scenes in caring for her horses herself. That is not as common in our sport as you get to the higher levels, but I think is very important to being a good horsewoman. I know Katelyn's work ethic, poise and positive attitude will also help our team greatly. Katelyn also shines in the classroom too, and I know Georgia is a wonderful fit for her academically as well. We are so excited that Katelyn is a Dawg!"
Estelle McParlan | Western | Fennville, Michigan
Estelle McParlan comes to Georgia as a decorated rider. She was the 2024 AQHYA World Champion in the L3 Youth Western Riding. In 2023, McParlan was the AQHYA Reserve World Champion in the L3 14-18 Trail, Champion in the L2 Youth Western Riding, Reserve Champion in the L2 14-18 Trail and finished as the L2 14-18 Horsemanship AQHA Year End Highpoint Award winner. In 2022, McParlan was the 2x Highpoint Award Winner at the All American Quarter Horse Congress.
"Estelle is an exceptional young horsewoman who brings both talent and composure to every ride," Lantz said. "She has been a consistent force within the AQHA, earning top placings at the AQHYA World Show and the All-American Quarter Horse Congress and demonstrating excellence across multiple all-around events. I have had the incredible opportunity to coach many student athletes that have hailed from Show Horses By Shannon's training program, and I couldn't be more fortunate to be gaining another one of their dedicated, driven and hard working students who will be well prepared for the college riding setting. Estelle's strong foundation, ability to ride many different horses, competitive spirit and commitment to her craft make her a tremendous fit for Georgia Equestrian. I first met her at one of our clinics where it down poured rain the entire weekend. She continued to ride extremely well, had a positive attitude and really proved that Georgia was meant to be her home. She represents the kind of student-athlete who thrives in our program — driven, humble and passionate about her team and her horses. We're excited to welcome Estelle to Athens and look forward to watching her shine as a leader and rider as she succeeds as a Bulldog."
Shiloh Roseboom | Jumping Seat | Brentwood, Tennessee
Shiloh Roseboom joins the Mane Dawgs with multiple big wins and top finishes. She was Reserve Champion at USET Finals West Coast in 2025. She finished Top 26 at USET Dover Hunt Seat Finals 2025, and top 20 at ASPCA Maclay Finals in 2024. Roseboom was the 2024 CPHA Style of Riding Finals Champion and had a seventh-place finish at USEF Talent Search Finals in 2024.
"Shiloh has probably been a Georgia fan longer than most people currently on our team," Becker said. "A true sports expert in all things, she is a standout for her experience as a lacrosse player as well as an equestrian. Shiloh impressively juggles in-person school, lacrosse practice and games, a job and traveling back and forth to horse shows. I know that being on a sports team is not something that Equestrians have the chance to experience before college, so her time working with teammates will give her a leg up on working with others towards a common goal. One of the biggest things that I love about Shiloh is that she is a successful catch rider. As someone without a horse of her own, she is regularly riding whatever horse is available to her at any given show. Her ability to ride all different types of horses, especially young ones, and to win is a true testament to her riding ability and horsemanship. Just this past weekend she placed second at USET Finals on a horse that she had only met that week. Shiloh is incredibly competitive, and I know she looks forward to helping work towards this team winning more championships here at Georgia. We are so excited that Shiloh is a Dawg!"
Kennedy Williams | Western | Blanchard, Oklahoma
Kennedy Williams signs with the Bulldogs after a successful 2025 campaign. She finished Top 5 at The Run for a Million Youth, was the 100x Reining Classic Youth 14-18 Champion, the NRHA Derby Youth 14-18 Champion, APHA World Champion Youth Reining and the NRBC Intermediate Non Pro Champion in the past year. Williams was the SMRHA Route 66 Slide Non Pro Derby Level 2, 3 Champion and Level 4 Reserve Champion in 2025. In 2022, Williams added NRHA 13 and Under Top 10 Year End World Standings to her resume.
"Kennedy is an exceptional addition to the Georgia Equestrian family and a tremendous asset to our Western squad," Lantz said. "Kennedy has established herself as a strong presence within the AQHA and NRHA, earning recognition for her precision, feel and consistency in the show pen. I am looking forward to adding a rider from Clint Ramsey Performance Horses who teaches an incredible foundation, hard work and has a focus on commitment to excellence. She is a polished and powerful Reiner who competes with both grace and grit — an athlete who knows how to rise to the moment. I was first able to watch Kennedy at the NRHA Futurity where she was able to show case just how special of a rider she was, incredibly handy and precise and able to showcase her horse to the best of her ability. We're so excited to welcome Kennedy to Athens and can't wait to see the impact she'll make as a Bulldog — both in the arena and as a teammate."
