Ryan Olree Earns All-Region Honors At NCAA South Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Ryan Olree took home All-South Region honors to highlight the Georgia cross country teams' performances at the NCAA South Regionals on Friday. The sophomore became the first Bulldog to earn an All-Region distinction, given to the top-25 finishers in each regional race, since Sam Bowers in 2022.

· The Georgia women opened the meet in the 6k race, finishing 15th as a team with 487 points while the men competed in their first 10k of the season, taking 12th with 286 points.
· Olree led the Georgia men across the finish line in 19th place, posting a time of 30:34.9 while finishing as the Bulldogs' top scorer for the fifth-straight meet in his All-South Region performance. Fellow sophomore Conner Rutherford also finished in the race's top 40, placing 37th with a time of 31:08.7 and scoring for the fourth time this season.
· Redshirt sophomore Mark Trammell finished 64th overall while posting his fourth-straight scoring performance. The San Diego, Calif., native crossed the finish line in 31:39.1 in his first 10k as a Bulldog. Other scorers for Georgia included senior Zack Truitt (77th – 31:59.7) and freshman Joseph Minecci (89th – 32:17.5), who recorded points for the fourth and second time this season, respectively.
· Izzy Yonas finished atop the Lady Bulldogs' leaderboard for the third time this season with a 68th-place performance. The freshman posted a 6k time of 21:27.7 to score for the fifth-straight meet to open her collegiate career. Junior Lorel Golden followed Yonas in 93rd place with a time of 21:56.6, also continuing her perfect scoring streak in 2024.
· Junior Katherine Law was the third Georgia runner across the finish line, placing 104th overall with a time of 22:03.3. Senior Gracie O'Neal and freshman Kate Robinson completed the 6k shortly after in 110thand 112th place with respective times of 22:13.9 and 22:15.5. Law tallied points in all three meets in which she competed this season while O'Neal and Robinson each went a perfect 5-of-5 in scoring opportunities.
