Head Coach Tom Black
On how he thought the team performed today...
"I thought the team improved from Friday. It's great to get all our pieces together. I thought we were in a little bit better rhythm than we were on Friday. We're going to keep building on that. Ole Miss is a good team. I thought we responded faster when they had runs. I'm pleased with the improvement, and we'll keep building from here."
On what he's taking away from this match to prepare for Oklahoma...
"I think everything was better than Friday. We kept putting surface pressure on them today. I thought our block defense was better. We've got to respond faster to things that they're doing. Offensively, we were pretty good today, but we were good in a different way than Friday, so we're just trying to get all our pieces firing at the same time."
#2 Sophie Fischer | MB | Gr.
On the aspect of the team's performance that she is most proud of...
"I think serving. I think we put a lot of service pressure on the other team, and that made block defense a lot easier for us – easier reads, easier moves."
#14 Bianna Muoneke | OH | So.
On her success on the serve and leading both teams in aces...
"The game plan won. We knew the weaker passers, and then I executed what I know. In practice, I've been working on my flip serve because I haven't been the most consistent server, so this week I've been really working on that so I'm really glad that I executed."
